Terms of Use

1. About Cookyno

Cookyno helps you plan weekly meals, optionally attach recipes and ingredients, generate aggregated shopping lists, and—where available—collaborate with others through shared household or group workspaces. Core planning features may be offered free of charge; optional paid capabilities (such as household collaboration) may be labeled or marketed as Pro or similar.

These Terms apply to all users of the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old—or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction—to use the App. By using Cookyno, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. Account Registration

Many features require creating an account or signing in with a supported method (such as Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, or email-based authentication offered in the App).

By creating an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current profile information (such as your name and email).
• Keep your login credentials confidential.
• Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.

We are not responsible for losses arising from unauthorized access caused by your failure to safeguard credentials or devices.

4. Paid Features and Subscriptions

Cookyno may offer optional paid plans or in-app purchases (for example household or Pro features). Prices, trial terms, and feature sets are shown in the App or in the applicable storefront listing.

4.1 Payment

Payments, renewals, refunds, and cancellations for digital purchases made through mobile storefronts are handled by Apple App Store and/or Google Play, not by us directly. We do not collect or store your full payment card details for those purchases.

4.2 Auto-renewal

Subscriptions that renew automatically will continue unless you cancel in accordance with the rules of the storefront where you purchased (typically at least 24 hours before the renewal time). Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings.

4.3 Refunds

Refund requests for purchases through Apple or Google must follow those platforms' policies and procedures.

5. User Content

The App lets you create and store planning-related content such as:

• Meals, meal types, dates, and titles
• Optional ingredients attached to meals
• Recipes and recipe ingredients
• Aggregated shopping-list items derived from your planning
• Household or group associations when you use collaboration features

You retain ownership of content you create. You grant Akyno Apps a non-exclusive license to host, process, back up, transmit, and display that content solely to provide, secure, and improve the App and related services described in our Privacy Policy.

You agree that:

• You are responsible for content you input.
• You will not upload unlawful, harmful, harassing, or infringing material.
• You will not misuse or attempt to disrupt the App.

6. Households and Shared Workspaces

If you enable optional collaboration (for example a household or shared workspace), you choose who is invited. Members may see shared meal planner data—such as meals, recipes, or shopping context—according to roles we support (for example owner, editor, or viewer).

Other members may also see profile details needed for collaboration, including participant names and email addresses associated with the shared workspace. Only invite people you trust with your planning information and contact details. You are responsible for invitations you send and for leaving or managing memberships when your situation changes.

7. Data Collection and Privacy

We collect and process personal information as described in our Privacy Policy, including analytics tools such as Mixpanel and Microsoft Clarity where implemented. By using the App, you acknowledge those practices.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Cookyno to:

• Violate applicable laws or regulations
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where expressly permitted by law
• Probe, scan, or attack our systems, accounts, or third-party infrastructure
• Create multiple accounts or coordinate activity intended to abuse quotas, promotions, or fair use
• Use bots, scrapers, or automated means to access the App except through documented APIs we provide
• Distribute malware or harmful content

Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account.

9. Intellectual Property

The App's branding, logos, design assets, and accompanying text provided by Akyno Apps belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent except as allowed by law or these Terms.

Your user content remains yours, subject to the license you grant us in Section 5.

10. Service Availability

We strive to keep the App available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that data will never be lost. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features—including free or paid tiers—with reasonable notice where practicable.

11. Third-Party Services

The App integrates third-party services such as authentication providers (for example Apple or Google), cloud infrastructure (such as Supabase), analytics or diagnostics (such as Mixpanel or Microsoft Clarity), and mobile storefront billing. Those providers are governed by their own terms and privacy notices.

We are not responsible for outages, actions, or omissions of third parties beyond what we can reasonably control.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Meal planning suggestions and aggregated lists are aids only—we do not provide medical or dietary advice.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Akyno Apps and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or revenue, arising from your use of the App or third-party services.

Our aggregate liability for claims arising out of these Terms or the App will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to Akyno Apps specifically for Cookyno subscription or purchase fees in the twelve (12) months before the claim (excluding amounts retained solely by storefront platforms), or (b) fifty U.S. dollars (US$50) if no such payments occurred.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the minimum permitted by law.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, misuse the App, or if required by law. You may stop using the App at any time. Account deletion options are described on our Delete account page and in our Privacy Policy.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and post the current version on our website at https://cookyno.app. Continued use of the App after updates become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, unless applicable law requires a different process.
